You want the Hondaline engine guards. They don't come near the controls. Jimmy has them and he as forwards.

Here's a of good thread discussing some of the pros and cons:

I cannot vouch for the Jardine forward controls fitting with the Hondaline guards because the Jardine controls are higher than the Mapams which I have.  Just basing it strictly on my limited knowledge of the Jardines, i.e. I have only seen pictures of them mounted on bikes without guards, I would be inclined to say that they would not fit with engine guards due to their mounting location.

Thanks for clearing that up Jimmy. I misread his post. I thought he said he had Mapams.

Yeah, the Jardines are a totally different animal.  They mount higher up and farther out than the Mapams (in addition to costing around $500 too!!!).  To be honest they look uncomfortable to me but that's just me

Thanks for all the feedback. The Jardine controls came on the bike.
They are not unconfortable at all, but do cause problems when adding
new iems. I will just have to weld up a set myself and then have the chromed.

Is there another way to do it? :D
