The following part is no longer available
18653-MK3-780     TUBE, THREE-WAY hose - can't be ordered anywhere

It is part of the emissions stuff they goobered up the '86 V700C with to make it compliant with the California regs.

Mine is split on the seam at one of the connectors making a nice little hole about 1/8" just below the fitting.

Does anybody have a patching solution?

Well one Idea would be stretchable black tape  they use it in electrical on big connections it is a rubber tape and a couple of wraps and clamp it back and it should work. I would think there is not any pressure there looks like it just shrank from old age hehehehehehe hate when that happens

At the motorcycle shows I've seen a rubber tape that they sell for roadside repair of radiator hoses and fuel lines. Can't remember the name. Perhaps this is what Allen's referring to.

You could use a larger diameter rubber hose and slide over and use a clamp to help seal.

How about a combo of #35 scotch electrical tape (rated to 195f) and an old bicycle innertube  and one fot hose metal band hose clamps.

 That's what I call Anglo-Saxon Engineering!
