I saw some Handlebars on-line that I want to get.  I seeing some with a knurled center for the risers and some without.  If they don't have them does that mean it doesn't really matter what size the center is as long as it's longer than the riser width?

Also a buddy of mine has been telling me to see if the throttle side of the handlebar has a hole in it for the throttle....???  The link below shows the bars I want to get.

I like the drag bar look but I just don't know if these will work.  I would also like to make more customizations to my 96 Magna but I can't seem to find many companies that make aftermarket parts for that Magna.  For example, no Hyperchargers, gas tanks (without having to buy another magna tank and do the valkyrie mod), forward controls (that are cheaper)...anyone got any ideas on how to do this on a Military member budget?  Single income so I need to save money where I can.

Please help,

PS: Thanks for all of the help in the past with input on just getting the bike running and cutting out my resonators...she's bad now.

The 1" bars you linked will work, I would prefer some with the knurles so the risers can grip better, but they will work.
3rd gen bars are a solid 1" from end to end.

FWIW you have to realize that running that type of bar with stock risers will be a long and low stretch from where you are now.  Might seem cool for 5 miles but how will it be after 50 miles?  I realize those are pretty cheap but at what cost if it wrecks your back every time you ride it?

If you like the drag bar look then try to find either some stock Suzuki Marauder t-bars for cheap or maybe some Yamaha V-star accessory t-bars.  They usually can be found for cheap ($40-80 depending) used on eBay or on various message boards.

Because the Magna was always somewhat of a niche bike and not the typical v-twin cruiser there is not a ton of aftermarket support and will get worse as the years tick by.

Thanks guys for the heads up on the handlebars.  I will look into the Marauder bars as well.  I haven't gone on the long rides just yet but I do plan on it.

Thanks again
