You want it so it will everso slightly loose speed when its activated.  Obviously you have to be able to defeat it by manually twisting the throttle closed if in an emergency situation.

Greg- With the longer bolt on the vista throttle lock.... did you leave the bolt exposed or use some sort of spacer for looks and more stability?

I put the VistaCruise ($30) on my 2000 Magna with Kury's.  It comes with a longer bolt and spacer that worked just fine.  You do have to have a little imagination and ingenuity (?) on getting the retainer to fit.  But I am no mechanic and I got it to work.

Hey fellows, thanks for the suggestions and information. I got my Vista on and working correctly, I believe. As I 'splained to my lady, the purpose isn't like a car...ie to cruise for ever with no hand on the throttle...just to give my hand the ability to remove from the throttle when needed and to be able to relax my grip somewhat at times. I really like it. But WHY ISN'T IT CHROME?!?!?
Although if it was, it wouldn't be $34.00!

David on my Valk I just left the bolt unexposed, as the locker I got was given to me used.
If a new one has a spacer then your set!!!!

If it was for a 1st gen Jeff H probably would have manufactured one out of buffed aluminum!!!!
