Coil On Plug conversion for Magna

Has anyone heard of doing the C.O.P. conversion on the 3G Magnas?  This is a popular upgrade to the VFR's and I thought I ran across someone that has done it here, but the search function yielded nothing of use.  From what I've found, you can buy a set of used Suzuki coils and wire each pair in series so that you get a final reading of around 3 Ohms, which is close to what our factory coils are.  I'm not sure if it really provides much more than aesthetic pleasure and maybe a little more voltage to the plug.  I would do the conversion but I'm a little concerned about frying the ignition control module

Yeah, I'd be really worried about the module; I'd keep digging until you find someone else that was a Ginnie Pig and bike donor for a trial run.

Sounds cool, but I don't think it is worth going through the trouble or risk.  Let us know if you find anything.

i know one guy who did this, but he also used the ICM and wiring harness and lower end from a VFR bike in his magna. you can search for him on here or the net. his name is George Choike. he goes by his last name on the forums. you can search the net also, check ' superdupermagna'

That Magna is completely insane. I wonder if it has one factory stock part? Possibly the frame?

yep, the frame is def. stock
