OK, I done it to Maggie too. Oldman helped and it looks a lot better for his input.
You may remember I did a seat mod on Vic, adding arms and raising the back rest for the passenger seat. Well, RosePedal had just about stopped riding Maggie with me because of the seat. The passenger seat was high, hard and narrow. Additionally, there were no arm rests and she had gotten used to them on Vic. Finally, her legs were uncomfortable on the pegs.
I checked out foot boards and arms. $$$ $$$ $$$. Not for me boy so I went back to my favorite accessory shop, Sico machine shop in Texarkana, and had some stuff cobbled together. Here are the foot boards I've dropped $25.00 on so far.

I'll get them chromed after MOOT Mag and add some friction strips. They're not even on both side and Oldman is going to straighten them out for me before I get them chromed.

I also had Sico make some frames for the arm rests.

I'll get these chromed also. I'm going to make some pads for them and have them covered with the same leather used on the seat.
When I got the arms from Sico, they were open tubes, and not at the right angle. Oldman cut them off, readjusted the angle and welded the ends shut. They look a lot better than before. I probbably should have just let him do the whole thing. He say's he would have done it somewhat differently. It would probably be better. Oh well, I do like what I've got so far.

What you can't see from the photos, and what makes the most difference is what Oldman did to the seat. He took the leather off, cut down the foam height, then added about an inch to both sides, making it wider. He'd have RosePedal sit on the seat and tell him where any hard spots were, then he'd grid it down some more. He literaly customised the seat to RosePedals's cute little bum.
Not only is she more comfortable, but she is more stable. It's easier for me to controll the bike now when she 2ups with me.
Several people thought I was crazy, letting Oldman cut up a $500 corbin seat, but it's better now than before. A LOT better!
Thanks to Oldman, we're 2upiing agan on Maggie.

I'll Post more pics when the chrome and leather work is done.
I'd rather be outside than in.

Looks very nice and comfortable.  Do you think the foot boards will get hot?

I was concerned about the possibility, but we put 60 miles on her yesterday, and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Only one of the boards actually touch the pipe, and Charles is going to reorient that for me. There is enough air flowing between the board and pipe to keep it cool.
