Another Rear Tire Question

I know there has been alot of posts on this but everything seems to be about the metzler. I replaced my front tire with the Factory Dunlop and have been pleased with the Dunlops. I just cruise my bike and am not a corner carver or a trip taker.  Is there a Dunlop upgrade to get a wider tire. I don't want to have to get a taller tire to get the wider tread. I am more into the lower profile with the wider tire look. What options do I have for this?? I assume the 180/70/15 Metzler (although I have never seen a pic of this tire on a Magna) will give me wider without the height. I have about 500-1000 miles left in my rear tire so any help will be appreciated!

I run a 170/80/15 Shinko, Z-rated tire, used a lot on sports bikes, wider than the stock a little hammering on the brake stay is all that's needed. I think that is required on all the wider tires? Here are pics of mine.

Yep the 180/70 will give you a decent width, however not as wide as the 170/80 (but this one is taller as you did not want)..  Dont forget the Avon Venom offerings.

How would the 170/80/15 Dunlop K555 Fit? Would it be as tall as the metzler? Since I just replaced my front tire with the dunlop, I am not sure how riding on 2 different brands would be if I went with the Metzler on the rear. What would you suggest?

Running the Metz on the back with the Dunlop on the front has been done many times with no Ill effects I personally like the Metz lots better wear get more miles from the Metz than the Dunlop..
