Is it possible to modify the stock controlls to be moved forward where an expensive pair of forward controlls would mount? if so has anyone done this?

You can't get much cheaper then the way I did.  I have pegs on the engin guards and can shift with my heal up and down gears.

Haha how the hell do u manage to down and upshift with your heel. Yea i want to get some floor boards and i need my controls more foreward. Im short 5 foot 8 but my legs cramp easily in the riding possition the stock controls put me in. When i rode my friends shadow his controls are foreward enough that i can stretch my legs all the way and its so much more comfortable like that. Im trying to figure out a way to move them foreward for less considering its gonna cost about 300 for the floorboards and another 3-400 for the controlls. I dont feel like spending 6-700 bucks right now.

got any pics of your setup with the pegs so i can see the distence between the shifter and pegs?  :D

I will try to take the wife's camera and take a picture.

Alright, I'll bite.

How do you upshift with your heel?
You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

thats what i was thinking. Its gotta be extremely difficult to upshift with the heel.

I just found that scootworks sells foreward controll relocation kits that are farely cheap, only problem is they dont sell them for the magna. Would a kit for a shadow or vtx be usable on the magna?

I would bet some parts would be fairly close but would still need alterations to fit.

I do the same thing with mine front pegs.  Have mastered using the brake, still working on shifting.  I made my pegs and mounted them Using 1 1/2 inch pipe and the cross piece is an the middle section of a weight lifting bar.  I then put handle bar grips on the ends.  Total cost $10.00 and time to cut, weld and paint.  About 2 hours.

Thanks for the pictures Robert.  I can sleep now.  I had this vision of only being able to shift using your heels.  You just have a normal setup and big feet!  :P
