Here's a link to my route page for this ride, if anyone is curious:

http://mysite.verizon.net/res184gd/tripplans/id5.html

If you plan on joining me for this ride, please read the text so that you may be prepared for the type of ride this will be.  I don't recommend this ride for anyone but experienced riders, as we will be riding at a spirited pace because of the distance and to make up for frequent stops necessitated by the heat and the need to stay hydrated.

Universal translator:  "spirited pace" = "speeding excessively" "peg scraping curves"
You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

Looks like I'll be meeting you guys at the Cotton Gin. I'll bet I know one other rider that will be there too.

Trying to talk my brother into riding down with me, if this happens he and I will ride down together taking a less spirited and shorter route since he is not as experienced.

If I cant talk him into riding down (or he cant go) I am going to try and meet you guys at the Cotton Gin.  However I may have something that might keep me out, so if I am not there ya know I cant make it.

Hate to do it guys but I am going to have to miss this one, my brother wants to get more seat time so I feel it better to foster his riding..  He is excited to get more time in saddle so he can be comfortable enough to make rides such as this one..

Will make the next one hopefully with him in tow!!

Hope you guys had safe rides and a great lunch.  I flaked out on you because the radar looked like I would be riding in the rain on the way back, which I don't like at all.

Missed seeing all of you.

Hope no one has a heart attack on the way home!!

Well a what a great day of EATING Oh I mean RIDING       We had a great ride out to Slodacks Country Inn which is a Steak house LOL and what steaks they have Xtra small was ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh HUGE    the Dallas group had to turn back technical problems I guess... Anyhow the food was great but they did not serve dessert figured they fed you so much you would not need it...
They don't know us very well   so we all decided we would make another run to Round Top and have some PIE well what can I say AWESOME !!!!! We ran into some rain when we almost got there and it got a little worse so we waited it out on the porch next door Lying about all kind of stuff the rain let up a little and we decided to go for it.

My rain stopped around Brenham and was a nice ride from there..

I want to thank the guys for coming out Jesse, David Morris, Jeff Handley and Tom  we need to do this again SOON for sure!!!!!!!!!!
