Springer seat

Has anyone every ridden a bike with a springer seat? it seams like shock wise it would be comfy but hoe is it on the buttocks, are longer rides tolerable with them? yes i know we are talking about magnas here but the magna i am creating is going to be a cross between the classic oldschool hardcaore biker club style bobber and the modern magna so i feel one of the best ways to embody the oldschool look is with a old shcool springer seat.

A friend of mine rides a Ural with the rubber springer seat. 
Seems to be cooler because the air is flowing right under it and he loves it, even on long rides.  I personally will stick to my Mustang.
