If it's normally a closed circuit that will work, if it's normally a open circuit, than no.

Try it and see. What about reattaching it?

When my kill switch is in the "Kill" position, the bike won't even turn over.  I have a 3rd gen.  What is yours?

Gen 3 - Mine behaves the same.. Kill on - no starter action.

I am sure that is what he meant when said it won't start.  If it won't turn over it sure is not starting.

I was just confirming that this is normal for a Gen 3.. Some bikes will spin the starter, but not start, with the kill switch in the kill position...
