Thanks for that info. I'll contact Dyna and find out. In the meantime I have located a second hand unit in the UK.

connor

Chad ...Have you fitted one of Dynas control units.  If so was it straightforward..?

roboto65

I was at a wrench session where we did one nothing more than taking the old unit out and slipping in the Dyna it is a little bigger but the install was not to bad !!

Thanks for that. I've just sent Dyna an e mail so I'll see how much they are...Problem is I am in Cyprus, Europe so will have to take postage and this Cyprus governments duty charges into account.

Have never seen another Magna over here and I think they are a bit thin on the ground in the UK.

Conner - You did check out this link, didn't you.. $50 US seems like a steal, even with the postage, etc..

Shipping to many countries is a royal PITA -- the parts often never make it through customs in the foreign country.  The reason the parts are so expensive delivered to the customer is you need to hire a customs agent to walk the package through and make sure it gets delivered.

You could almost pay for a round trip ticket and carry the parts home in your luggage.  In most countries, if you show they are used parts, and document what you paid for them, you can waltz right through with modest or no duty charges.

Thats very very good of you to offer. My e mail address is theworks@cytanet.com.cy

If you would give me your name and address I'll pass it on to the seller and try to organise that.

If...once you have the part then of course I'll get payment to you before you post it to me.

I'll put a bid on it straight away...Again thanks very much....Connor.

Just e mailed the seller to see if he accepts mastercard ok. Once I hear back from him I'll put a bid on it. Thanks.

So Chad, If I heard you correct, the Honda ignition starts to retard timing at 9000 rpm??   Good information.  Does it show where the stock ignition shuts the bike down entirely?  How far will the dyna ignition let the bike run up to (rpm) ?

My experience is Redline is 9750 on the tach, but the bike will run up over 10+K before intervening, Don't ask me how I know..
