innards hanging out

When I got Maggie back together, my multimeter was still reading 10v across the system. Considering I'd just stuck a brand new battery in it that I'd topped off overnight with a charger, I was suspicious. So, I did what I always do when I can't figure out what's wrong. I hopped on the bike and headed for Charles house. A quick check with his multimeter confirmed that all was well. (Except my crappy little multimeter.)
BUT! Heading back to his shop, I saw the innards of the mighty Valk scattered across his work bench. He's just not happy with the way it runs.
Now yesterday a few of us took a quick run down to Jefferson ( ride report here. http://guywheatley.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1233460353)
Two Harleys, Two Magnas, Two Yamahas, and one Victory couldn't see anything of the Valk except a taillight getting smaller in the distance.
Lord help us if he ever gets a bike that runs GOOD!
