I need a set of clamps to attach my highway pegs to my engine guard.  I priced some at the local bike shop and they wanted $19 a piece.  Can anyone help me out?  My peg bolts are 3/8 and my guard is      1 1/4.

I got my clamps on Ebay but I am thinking 19.00 is a good price.

Maybe an alternative; I changed to longer mounting bolts for the lower engine-guard fasteners. These are the bolts that also works as engine mounts. My higway pegs are screwed onto the new bolts, using spacers to get the pegs in a good position when folded out. When the pegs are folded they are kind of hidden behind the engine-guard. This gives a clean and tidy setup.

Sounds like a good idea, do you have a photo or two?

By the way; I consider highway pegs beeing a higly usefull extra for longer rides, but they do not add to the apperance. Pegs clamped to the engine guards "sticks out" 1-2 inches even when folded, an make the bike wider in total. Therefor I like this "hidden" design. My pegs are aluminium gray with black fasteners, same colors as engine and frame.
