Another Tire Question

Do MC tires and car tires run the same size.  170/80/15 MC tire the same as a 170/80R/15 car tire?  I have 170/80/15 on the back of my Magna if I am going to the Darkside do I get the same size tire?

I don't know if you will find a 170 out there..
I put a 165/80 15 on my bike.. There are several choices in this size.. There is also a few 155 choices.
I don't have a lot of clearance on the break-stay (Stock). I am unsure about a 175/80 with a modified Break-stay.

I doubt it Jim, brand to brand motorcycle tires in the same size don't even match.  My stock size 150 Metzeler on my '99 Magna was a full inch narrower than the same size Dunlop I took off the rear.

Hoot's right though about finding those MC type combinations of aspect ratio and size in a car tire.  I've been looking high and low for a sport radial for the Valk in 195/60 or 65.  I find plenty of 205/60 and 205/65 but when I go down to the 195 width all I find is 55 series for the most part.  I want a taller tire in 195 with a symmetrical tread, but no joy so far.
