rear tire

i have a 94 magna 750.  my question is... what is the widest, but lowest profile tire that will fit on a stock rear rim? i like the wide look but dont want it to look like a 4x4 or a 70's drag car. any suggestions? i know im beating a dead horse with this question, sorry

170 with shimming out the brakestay..

is that a 170/80 still? or do they make a 170/ 70 or 60?

I'm not sure.. You will need to check.. the 170 is the important part (width) not to exceed.

It's not quite that simple.  Remember the 170/80 is wider and taller than the 180/70.

Then I'd recommend the 180/70 ......... the 170/80 always looked out of place to me (too tall).
