Sorry if this has been asked before (which I'm sure it has). This question is for people who have or have had drag bars on their 3G Magna. How do you like them as far as comfort and handling? I sat on a bike yesterday with them and really liked the look and feel. Just not sure how they'd work out in the long run though. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Drag bars look great, but it depends on how old you are and how important being comfortable is on a long trip.  I suggest you ride someones bike that has drag bars, at least 100 miles before you decide. I'm on the other end of spectrum I have risers with about 3 inches of pull back. I'm old and don't want to have to lean forward for anything but my chicken soup or pie :D. Just my two cents 8).

PS before some of you really old codgers bust my chops over the age remark, age is not always relevant to body cond, but is in my case :(

I'm with Charles.  Long ago I promoted comfort above appearance in my priorities.  I think it happened about the time I figured out that I was never handsome in the first place, and it wasn't going to get any better...

I guess I'd better 86 that idea as I ain't no spring chicken either. I really like the way they look but I'm afraid my back probably would make me change my mind pretty quickly about them. Thanks for the replies.

When I hit my late 30's I decided it was "OK" not to have a "young mans" physique anymore.  Then I started having back problems, compounded by getting hit by that truck on my bike and for the last year gave in to the whole, "I will just be having to take pain meds of some sort daily for the rest of my life".  Well, a new gym opened a few miles from home this past Feb. and my wife signed us up, it aint cheap so I figured I would at least go swim laps and sit in the hot tub.  that lead to riding the recumbent bikes.  Now I am going every other day, biking and lifting weights and guess what??  No pain pills!  I have lost 7 lbs and I am feeling better than I have in several years.  So, my new theory is, "I will be exercising the rest of my life, God willing".
