need help with front brakes

After, riding my magna (1997) for a year I have gotten used the brakes (or lack thereof). As most people have mentioned it is all about perception. My last bike was an 04 Suzuki SV650S and you could put just a little pressure on the lever with one finger and it would slow things quickly, grab a whole handful and you might do a face plant.

It took a while for me to adjust to the amount of pressure I had to apply to slow things down, but I am able to slow the magna down in what I feel is an acceptable distance (but I might still be interested in some custom mod to add an extra rotor up front  )
