Guys, save me some time here by pointing me to the best link for tearing into my carbs and cleaning them out.  I have had my Magna in Arkansas for the last year and I ride it every month when I go up there to do yard work around the place.  Well, I always run the carbs out of gas before I head back to Texas and keep stable in the tank, but for some reason, I have at least one carb gummed up on me.

The bike runs great at idle and on acceleration, but at just above idle in the lower cruise setting, she gets real lean and starts missing some and surging; the bike has never had the lean surge before now.

I was up there last week and ran a tank of good gas with seafoam in it, which helped some, but the lean condition is still there at cruise.  I have been in many carbs in my days, but not on the maggie yet; any tips or tricks I need to know about?  How about it Greg, I believe you have been in quite a few of these; where do you think I'll find the goo?

LOL Greg, I just fond your article on this on the web site; still like to hear your thoughts on where the clog will be.

Thanks Greg; I have had a chance to put some miles on it this last week and it has gotten better than it was, but still has a pretty bad stumble right off of idle and low rpm cruise.  I'll have to wait until I can get a week or so off and get up there and go through the carbs for a good cleaning.

Anyone know the the thickness of the Dave Dodge shims?    While I'm in the carbs, I'm thinking I will go ahead and shim the needles and just need to know the thickness of the Dave Dodge shims.

Edit: Found it!!  "As each shim DRP sends is .020" thickness, so 2 additional shims will get you .040" raise on the needle thus richening the midrange some."
