Impromtu Houston Wrench Session Sunday the 9th

Well the Capt showed up around 9 ish we let it cool down and went looking for plugs but found none so we did the carbs hopefully I got his bike running good for him nice to see ya again Howard hope to se ya again soon !!   I think pretty soon we need to do the Chicken Fried bacon run again!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I could've made it.  Mom had car problems, mom comes first. 

I am ready for a Chicken Fried Bacon ride.  Since we all survived the last one with no heart attacks, I think we should stop by Chappell Hill for a sausage sandwich!!    I guess the big question would be.............  WHERE ARE WE GOING FOR PIE?

Hehhehehe yeah try and find Plugs on a Sunday LOL at Autozone Walmart and O Reillys LOL  And finding a great PIE place is first on the list LOL

Ok Guys..You missed one hell of a good fellowship and wrench session...I can honestly say Allen knows how to pull off a set of carbs on a 3rd gen Maggie and bring "UM" back to life again...Like Allen said we went to Wal-mart and got some shop supplies and checked Auto Zone and O"riley just for grins...How ever I think Allen found out he could get spark plugs from O'riley ($5.40ea.) for half the cycle shop price...Got my new plugs today and will get my new air filter tomorrow. How ever we had 2-carbs that have stuck adjusting screws and unable to get them out..We decided it would be better to find a set of carbs. before we tried any drilling to try and remove those just in case we weren't successful...We moved on and cleaned all the low speed & high speed jets..Added a washer to each of the slide needles..(I believe they call shimming?) Then with a little help from me Allen re-installed the carbs...We got her all back together and time for the test..Well we fired her up and WOW..It started right up and seemed to have removed most of the problems....it was raining still so we went inside and cooled down had some water...it quit raining so we took a ride down to a place called "WILLIES" I believe...I'm not sure what Allen thought about it but I say I will be back there for one of the best BURGERS I've had in a long time..Just an Awesome day....wish you guys could of made it..Wish I could have posted this earlier but some thing come first..Allen ...Thanks for a job well done...Look forward to meeting the rest of you guys somewhere along the way..

Yeah, I'm ready for that. I missed the last one along with everyone else in our group because my V65 got busted up when I dropped it.

Yeah they sure are and they are right down the road from me  Had a great time again and we will have to do it again soon hope to give everyone a little more notice next time !!
