Just wondering if anyone in the group here is using one of these.  If so, notice any difference in handling, etc...

I do not have one on mine, but comments I have read from other 3rd Gen Magna owners elsewhere on the WWW is that a fork brace generally does improve stability in sweepers. If it can be installed without removing the fork tubes, I may have to try it out.

I have heard the same in general, wish I had one to try.

When I first got the bike the front end was very squiggly going around bumpy turns. It felt very loose and made me neverous. We're talking about rural roads around here.
Anyway, I installed Progressive springs and a fork brace about 4 years ago, maybe longer.
Now, the front end is very stable, and I don't hesitate to "go fast" around corners anymore.
Two years ago, a 600 cc sports bike thought he could loose me in the turns; I've never gone around turns so fast before or after then. Yes, I did keep up to him!
When I had my forks powder coated black, I installed the fork brace and had them do both at the same time.
Nice easy prioject well worth the effort.
Cheers!

I'm hoping to test that out myself.  My CB900 is about two days away from being on the road again and it doesn't have the brace the is on the '86V45.  I've been riding the Magna daily now for over three years so I think I'll feel the difference if the 900 is squiggly.

Hey, congrats on getting the '900 to the finish line!  I know it has been a long haul.  Must be quite satisfying to get it finished and back on the road.

I put a fork brace on my 1st 96 Magna, and while it was a cool add-on, I believe the progressive fork springs were a better bang for the buck.  In my opinion..

Greg, which one did you add first?

Actually the progressive springs were installed a few years earlier.  I very strongly feel though the springs are a better investment.  HOWEVER with that said, I obviously bought the fork brace LoL.

I installed both at the same time (progressive springs and Fork brace) big improvement but didn't know from which one until I took off the brace.  It's definitely more twitchy around uneven corners without it by comparison.

What did you do with the brace?

Terry, if your question was for me, I sold it back in 04'..  When I removed all my aftermarket goodies before I sold my original Magna.
