86 v-65 paint job

a gentlemen near me called me to day to ask a specific question.  He was talking to a friend of mine and found out that I was a member.  It seems he has the Glory Red paint job on his bike, and took it to the body shop to get a dent taken out of the tank.  He says they ruined the paint job.  He said they can not match the paint.  He wants to know if we know of a good paint and body shop that can paint it back to the original Glory Red paint.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Charles you up to painting one?

Ouch!  My only advice is "keep up the rehab" -- even when your shoulder feels "OK".  It has been 15 years, and my left shoulder is still weaker than the right one.  Coulda, shoulda, woulda...

Ron says the body shop is having a hard time with getting the color right.  They have tried the base coat both light and dark but it still does not come out right.  Any suggestions, Hey Dave what does your paint man say about this.  Do you use the base coat and paint as is from color rite?

Anytime you repaint on an older vehicle or any repaint, the older the more so, the paint fades. Fresh paint is back to original color with no fade, this is probably were the problem is, adding tint to match a faded sidecover.

There is a custom paint shop in Bonham, I think another in Carrollton, I have heard of many others but not off the top of my head, Pilot Point area.

Tank two fenders and two side covers, I'd repaint the whole bike and be done with it..
