Just surfing the site for the first time and some pretty cool stuff on here.  I did notice the wrench session stuff.  Any East Texas guys want to come over and help with this stuff??  LOL

Great Site guys,  good work!!

Bryan, go out to bikebandit dot com or partsfish dot com and sign yourself up.  Both places will give you part numbers and pricing on parts for the brakes.  You can also do fork seals on either site.  Fork seals you can get all over the place though, even eBay.  If you do replace the fork seals (and it sounds like you should) you might also want to replace the dust seals while you've got it torn down.

I've got plenty of practice on the fork seals having done it 3 times now on my V65 (first two times were wrong, LOL) and once on the V30.  You'll need a fork seal driver, either home made or OEM purchased.  I've got a combination of both.  C Clamp remover is also a necessity.  Determine what weight fork oil you'll want to replace the old with.  Tear that front end apart and have a ball.  :)

You should consider coming to the Coastal wrench session at the end of January in Montgomery.  Not all that far from you I think.  Be happy to bring my fork seal stuff and assist.

Marc.

For your fork oil I would recommend 15W and you might also consider installing some Progressive springs.

Well we pulled this project off also.  Got the rear brake rebuilt and also got new seals in the front shocks.  I starting to feel like a V65 mechanic!!  LOL

Thanks for the help
