Today while riding I heard noise from my front wheel.
Long story short, my pads are real thin.
I was A little upset, Dang I just replaced those a while back  :-x
So i remember posting about doing it, so I searched the forum.
Heres the kicker. I replaced them on 10/19/08, two years and 1 day to the date.

So much for my memory! I wish I had posted the milage so I can see how long they lasted.
I checked the rotor thickness and it was .202 at the thinest spot.
Thats 5.13mm so I can probably get by on just pads one more time, Then its rotor time!

were they the organic pads? I've heard those don't have much life to them and can get messy with brake debris.

"Yabba Dabba Doh!!!"

Do you know in the script it was written as Yahoooo!!!
But the voice actor who did Fred, his mother loved the commercial phrase "a little dab will do you".. So he, on his own, combined the two and came up with this now iconic phrase..

I think Google is Glad the actor changed it.. Imagine how much play Yahoo could have gotten out of the catch phrase!!!

They were EBC pads. I replaced them with the same.
Lots of black dust on everything so they were probably organic.

I tried the EBC sintered pads and they wore good for the year that I had them installed. They seemed to stop better than the stock pads.

Sintered pads are more aggressive and the trade off is they will wear on your rotor a bit more than regular pads.

I really like mine.  With a SS brake line and sintered pads, Maggie stops very quickly.  So much so that when making a fast stop, I glance at the rear view to see if I need to ease up and swerve instead of stopping.

Of course, I haven't had to buy a new brake disc -- yet.

I think the SS brake hose is a vast improvement over stock non braided line.
