My account has been credited for the full purchase price. It will stay credited unless Scoot can show proof of delivery. Now I'm going to send Scoot an email canceling my order.
I'm giving Scoot the Boot!
Cheers!

I'll be doing the same at the close of business Friday. Maybe this thread will help prevent other people from making the same mistake.

Lesson learned: Don't have any dealings with Scootworks.

PS: If anyone is still interested in belt drives, I know a guy in Spain who was doing work with belt drives and the Magna. He owns a metal fabrication shop in Spain and has done custom belt drives for several bikes. He was working on one for his Magna when he wrecked the Magna, so his work stopped.

He told me he'd have no problem making a belt drive for the Magna, and could even provide better gearing than the Scootworks kit (closer to the 16/40 of the Magna). But, his prices were quite a bit higher than the Scootworks kit (about $800).

I think if we had enough people interested in it, he might be able to make kits for us at a similar price to the Scootworks kit (price should be quite a bit lower if he is doing several kits. I would imaging that if we had 5-6 people interested, we could get the price down to $500-$600 per kit.

If enough people show interest, I can contact him about it. I am interested, as well as a friend of mine. That makes two. Any others?
