Took the Magna out for a ride today and when I got home and parked the bike in the shop, I smelled a little gas and found a small leak at the automatic fuel shut off. Well, I pulled the valve off and inspected it, expecting to find a bad diaphragm in the valve, I instead found that the diaphragm housing screws were a little loose allowing a small fuel leak.

Satisfied that all would work as advertised with the screws retorqued, I went to reassemble the valve and accidentally launched the diaphragm spring across my shop, where it of course vanished into thin air. I searched for an hour, swept the shop and used a magnet to no avail; a real mystery. So 45 bucks later, I have a new spring and diaphragm on order from Cheap Cycle Parts dot com.

Ah, John, Don't worry about it..
One hour after the new parts are in use and you return to your garage, you will find the original spring!!!
Then you can help someone else out in the same position.. It's just an opportunity for the future!!

Yep, you know it, as soon as I no longer need it I'll trip and fall over it.

no doubt.
Should have given me a shout and I would have sent my wife over.  Somehow every time I do something like this she finds it for me.  She eats it up too that she can find it and I can't.

My wife is the same way.  She can find all sorts of stuff that I overlook in plain sight!

Just last week I found something that she had lost and was looking for.  I am only about 10,000 items behind!!
