WOW Hoot you should patent that ideal.
It's the details that are important to an idea..
The Lock I chose for this Mod has a Brass hasp, so as to not damage the chrome on the backrest..

BUT I went ALL out on the Helmet lock MOD...

Genius!

I thought you were talking about a bonafide cruise control, I was licking my chops, throttle lock is handy, when you talk it off you realize just how handy.

As I was putting that post together I was wondering why you wanted to see pics, I thought it was a pretty mundane "mod" that has been covered, then I was thinking... "maybe he thinks it s a REAL cruise control..." sorry about the confusion, poor choice of words on my part...   :D

Exactly what I do, only I used a standard metal lock, but Plasti-Dip'd the lock bar.  I also carry a cable lock if I need to lock up multiple helmets and/or gear.  Two extra small keys, but very adaptable to what I need.  No need or these if I have the LeatherLyke bags on, but I take them off at times when I want to look the most cool....

I though about relocating the stock helmet lock, but I figured I was too lazy to bend down to the front fork whenever I needed it
