I recently purchased a Hondaline backrest for the V65 Magna.  I got it home and showed the wife.  She works for her brother who owns a machine shop and manufactures cotton gins.  She says that he could make the backrest bar and the mounting plates for the pad with ease.  If that is true, all anyone would have to do would be get their pad and they would have a better than OEM backrest.

Just wondering how many would be interested in these if produced?  I know Dave Berkey made them for a while and I have one of his six pack racks as well.  Seems they are way too rare and are going for an arm and a leg on ebay if you can find them.  Any feedback would be great.

I already have a hondaline backrest but I keep seeing them on ebay go for very good money.  If you have a fabricator that is willing to make a few at a time and the cost isn't too bad, I would put one on ebay every few weeks and make a few hundred bucks each time.  If you put a bunch on at one time you won't get as good a price.

Good luck with the potential money maker...

I would like to eventually get a backrest for my 94.  I am assuming it will not fit a 94.

Robert are you talking about a back rest for the passenger or the rider, or an adjustable for either?

For the King seat.
I guess you call it the rider's seat.  It came with one for her.
I could wear a back support and sweat away some weight at the same time.
