Did somebody break the shifter rod on their forward controls?

I am up and running, the piece that broke was the factory piece that comes out of the sprocket cover. Like $5. I went the cheap route as I am looking to swap back to original controls anyway.  8-)

I broke mine a few years ago. it was the factory part of the shifter that the mapam "extended".
I pulled it off, removed the broken off threads in the extension and then welded a metric bolt to the end of the factory rod.
Still on there, ain't pretty but it works. :lol:
