I do NOT recommend all the steps in this video.. He takes the intake tubes off and the clips under below the tubes, which I don't believe I did, nor is necessary.. But it might give you and idea IF you are new at this..
There are written instruction on the tech page of this site, if you follow them, you should be fine.

Thanks for passing this along..I am brain dead and would likely never be able to do
anything so "advanced" versus my skills...however, even if he did too many steps as mentioned,
the video was very well done, in my opinion, and covered the methog presented adequately.

again, thanks.

This is the reason I posted it, with the warning I did..
IF you watch this video, then print out the written instructions, I think it will give some people the courage to attack the carbs on their own and save $450 bill from the Stealer..
I was pretty anxious about pulling the carbs my 1st time and I have some Mechanical background..
All went well with just the written instructions, but watching a video is always helpful for me.

Man when he pulled the metal bottom of the air cleaner and I heard parts fall and the 4 down tubes of the carbs were right there, I shuttered.. A little screw down the intake can be a scary proposition..

I hope the video gives people the courage to tackle a clogged low speed jet problem themselves and if they really feel it helps, they can always send me $150 of the $450 they saved, IF it makes them feel better!!!

Maybe someone will create a video at a wrench session (hint, hint) on how to pull the carbs the "Right Way"..

GO to www.magnaownersoftexas.com scroll to TIPS and TRICKS page, there is a very well thought out and repeated 80-90 times as written tip on how to remove 3rd gen Magna carbs and adjust.

There is MANY things this person did that are COMPLETELY unnecissary and very time consuming.
I would NEVER remove the trumpets for multiple reasons, first you could damage them, second now you could potentially drop something down into the carbs etc.  I also do not recommend removing the aluminum air box base from the top of the carbs, as now the carbs can flex easily when prying up to break the boots loose, potentially harming a carb body.  Also removing the throttle cables from the wheel is much easier by simply removing the 2 phillips screws holding the adjustment/mounting bracket.  This gives plenty of slack to remove cables from the wheel.

Allen and I will video next time he is up a much more appropriate carb removal process for the 3rd gen Magna.

There was a video posted, possibly here a few years back about taking the carbs off a V65 Magna, I think the guy did it in 6 minutes or something like that. Does anyone have this video and could you post it? Thanks.
