Brake Rotor help needed

The reason they sell the rotors 1/2 of the wear down from stock is simple.  They are hopeing the the rotors will wear quicker an possiable warp out quicker. In the hopes that they can sell more rotors an pads.

Awww, gee, you think?

My thought was that they are selling used rotors that they have turned down to 5mm.

BTW, it has been maybe 18-24 months since I posted how to straighten a rotor that was warped in a crunch.  There was considerable skepticism about the long term viability of straightening.  The rotor still works well, I feel no indication of any problem of any sort. 

I will add my voice to the chorus in support of stainless steel brake line.
