hey guys, Im rebuilding a set of carbs from the wifes 85 vf500c. upon dissassembly I found a small tear in 1 of the slides. My question is will a slide form an inteceptor work from the same year? mines a 30mm. Im not sure if the interceptors used the same slide/diaphram.

Look it up on Honda parts diagram and see if the part number is the same, it still may fit but this could be your first step.

the first 5 numbers are the same 16111-xxx-xxx, its the xxx-xxx is different. so not sure if because the first 5 are the same if the part would be the same but applicable to both where as the xxx-xxx is related to the model of the bike? or the parts are altogether different. anybody have any clue? Thanks for any feedback.

If not the same, then probably not the same part...

The entire serial number should match for it to be a direct replacement, exact same dimensions, design etc. Not saying that it won't fit but it is in some way different based on the info you provided.
