There is an invite at the end of this....

So some of the folks I've met so far through MOOT have heard  a story or three about another group I ride with every summer.  The group supports 2 charities (+1 Canadian charity):
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (professional actors union charitable arm) and Behind the Scenes (support entertainment technicians in times of need).
We ride every year in a different part of the US/Canada.  Raise money.  Raise awareness for the charities.

And give away @2,000 kazoos a year.      Kazoos are like our business card... has our logos on them.  They have also proven to be a great way to terrorize parents everywhere we go.  Kidding...

This year our ride is the Tenth Annual.  So far our group has raised just over $350,000 in that time frame.  (Not bad!)  I am also the Ride Marshall/Wrangler/guy in front this year.
Our ride is through the Great Lakes.  Meetup date is Friday June 28 in Cleveland, OH.  We ride a week clockwise through the Great Lakes, returning to Cleveland on Saturday July 6.

As far as group riding goes I think MOOTsters might mix in well.  We keep similar group riding styles, we have a chase truck, all hotels and (usually) all food is arranged in advance.  We are a well organized group.   Riders pay our own way, 100% of donations go to the charities.  We also communicate front/middle/back with CB's, sweep rider stays in back, chase truck stays in back as well.  We also ride sober till we are in the hotel parking lot-at which point  the chase drivers magically change from passing out bottles of water at stops, to bottles of beer for those in want of it.  :-D

Not only is my Magna one of the longest-tenured bikes in the group, but there has been another Magna along for the ride several times.  So it would be quite pleasing to have more Magna's then Harley Electra Glides....

Long story short... I would like to extend an INVITE to other MOOTsters who might be interested.   It is a longer ride with a *great* group of people all over the US and Canada.

If interested I would be pleased to share more info.  Route info and other stuff is at www.LRLR.org.
FWIW I did get Greg's permission before posting.

Wish I could make this run, even part of it.  But with work, planning a REALLY big long trip later this year, money is going to be an issue for me.

I do hope you are successful in getting a few MOOT'sters to come join in on the fun!
