I signed up for the track day this afternoon. Look forward to meeting any MOOTster that can make it out there even if they don't do the track day. Heck who knows they might even catch the bug for doing it too! LOL

I don't think I'll be riding, but I will try to attend so I can harass Allen and meet Jeff.

I was looking at my Dunlop on the rear this weekend and the tread is already wearing pretty low in the middle at 3800 miles. It's not down to the wear bars yet, but I bumped the air pressure up to 40 to hopefully extend the life of the tire. So I may be budgeting for a new tire soon, and I just had to renew my insurance policy. That's probably maxed out my "bike" budget for the month.

I sure want to get on the track more.  After riding in Arkansas, all the roads here just seem flat and straight. I went for a 240 mile ride on Sunday and the best road near my house (3090) just wasn't as fun as it was two months ago. :(

Sorry to hear ya'll won't be able to ride the track day but I hope y'all can make it out there.

Got this off of MSR-Houston's website..........

Here is a link to a map..... http://tinyurl.com/japhn

MSR is 35 minutes south of downtown Houston on Hwy 288.

MSR is exactly 13.1 miles south of Hwy 6 on the left hand side of the highway. Traveling south on Hwy 288, exit SOUTH CR 48 (not to be confused with CR 48). SOUTH CR 48 is right after FM1462/Rosharon - just after you cross the power lines. You can't miss it.

Bob, I'm watching this as well.  Too early to know what I've got going that weekend but I'd like to go down there to watch.  I've got kin in Angleton.

Ya'll have fun.  I was thinking about going to watch, but I'm going to drop by Greg's wrench session and then go help my Dad set a French door in his house.

Hate to hear you can't make it, maybe next time when it is closer to home? Besides I would not    want to be the reason why you sold one of your bikes to get a sport bike! LOL Y'all have fun at the wrench session and we'll see ya soon.

Thanks Jeff.  Yeah, you'll wear me down sooner or later but I can alway add a track bike to the stable.  I don't even have to ask permission, he he he.

That's the ticket, build a dolly and tow my track bike with the Valk!! That would raise some eyebrows!

What time is this thing going on?  I have to take the wife to the airport that morning and her flight leaves at 0900, so I have to have her there at around 0700-0730.  I haven't decided what I am going to do for the rest of the day.

What time are you planing on leaving Allen?  Mabey we could ride down togheter.

MagnaMan

Track days are typically 8 to 5 with a break for lunch. I plan on going down there some time on Saturday but I'm not sure when. This is going to be a long week and I may need to sleep in on Saturday. Depending upon the timing I may be able to meet up with you and Allen on the way down. I plan to just take the Beltway to 288.
