Need help with starter clutch ...

And where is your video Charlie?  Looks like we need a new for for the 3rd Gen Magnas and I don't think Hoot will make it over. :P

  Something else ... part # 17 in the parts fiche:

It fits into a little recession in the starter clutch flange/cover.  I'm not sure what the purpose of it is other than to align the flange with the clutch body.  Since the flange is keyed to go on the shaft only one way, that would put the pulse generator pickup points on the outside of the clutch body in the proper position.

  Sorry, no video but the repair was relatively easy.  Just watch the force you use on the bolts when you put the crankcase cover back on  :-(
