Here's another way. Get some srtapping young fella to come over and do it for you. IT costs $20, but the ladies get so hot watching the young buck at work that it pays dividends later.

All kidding aside, that does look pretty cool. I'd think it would be better than the usual plugs that you try to twist to get to stay in place. If you could get some adhesive in there, I'd think it would be almost as good as a patch.

I have a 2 year old rope style kit in my saddle bag and heard it's a good idea to replace the ropes/plugs every year or so as they will eventually dry out, especially in Texas heat, so I ordered the $49.95 kit because it also comes with the flexible valve hose.  It was $7 shipping, but free shipping if over $50, so I bought 3 more CO2 cartidges for $9 as they sure don't go bad and it was like getting them for only $2.  I also like that they sell the just plugs for $8 so I don't have to buy the entire kit again in a year or two.  I guess the ropes are probably also available somewhere if I'd spend more time Googling instead of typing to ya'll....
