For those that have "Shark" type ampifiers on their bikes and Android phones

I have a shark type amplifier on my Magna.. I use my Android Phone for Music, GPS, etc with my Amplifier while riding..

I love having Music on my bike, but hated constantly adjusting the volume on my phone Up as I speed up, and down when coming up to a light...

I recently downloaded an APP that augments my set up, and thought I throw it out there to my Hoodie Pals...

App Name : Dynamic Volume
Purpose: To automatically increase and decrease the volume put out by the phone based on Speed

Review - The app does what it is designed to do...
It has two settings..
1) Noise based - This does NOT work in the way I use my phone.. This function ASSUMES you are using Headphones.. If you use Headphones on your bike, then it should work Great...
2) Speed Based - This is the function I use.. (You MUST have our GPS turned ON for this to work - otherwise how will the app know how fast you are going..
There are several settings
A) Starting Volume - This is the volume when you are sitting still - I have mine set at 1/2 way
B) Max Volume - This is the volume when you are above 45 MPH or so - Mind is set about 80%
C) Noise Sensitivity - No purpose in Speed mode
D) Speed Sensitivity - Not sure what this does, but have mine set just below 1/2

Just:
1) Turn on GPS
2) Open the app
3) Press "Start Speed Based"
Go back to your main page and start your Music App - I use Slacker, but should work with any music app..

You may need to play with the setting to get the sound levels you want at a stop light and at speed..

I think that is a very useful application if it works as intended.

I echo the thoughts of the majority. I don't listen to anything except the road and that's usually because I have to pay attention to my troops on the group ride. The open pipes on the Valkyries force me to use earplugs anyway.

I think this is good also because when I pull up to a stoplight, I don't have to listen to someone else's radio blaring.
