Hey Folks, new here, not a Texan, but I was directed here by some other forums, they said if anyone can answer my question, it would be here.

So, my question: I own an 87 Super Magna, I love my bike, just got it 3 months ago, been waiting to get this bike for 30 yrs. I love it, but don't care for the 3.6gl tank. is there any larger fuel tanks, that I can bolt on without too much modifications. I have a place here in Indiana (powder coaters) that guarantees they can match the Candy Blue, if I can find one to fit my baby. Has anyone replaced the tank with another model?

Welcome.  Don't own one, don't know nothing about them but know I'd like to have one but I know my wife would gut me with a dull knife if I brought #4 home.

Someone smarter than me will be along to help.

I know of no tanks that are a direct fit. You can buy a extra tank that will attach on a luggage rack. I just make sure I fill it every time I stop.

Welcome!

The only tank modification I've heard of is on the 3rd generation Magna.

Since this is a very specific issue to the Super Magna, I'd check to see if the Super Magna forums are still active. Have you tried the one over at Delphi?

If your original tank is in good shape you might want to just see if you can get a wrecked one that has dents. Because typically you end up keeping the bottom of the tank and replacing the outside or topside. That way you have your original if it doesn't go well.

Racetech Cartridge Emulators in front forks, Progressive 444s on the rear. Best mods I've ever made to this bike.
