I read this morning on another Magna forum that Dobie Gillum passed away yesterday (12/18).  I know he had posted recently about his health taking a bad turn and his desire to shut down his business, Cycle-istic, but didn't realize just how close he was to his final journey.  I just wanted to say how much I appreciated his support for our 3rd gen Magna's and how much of an upstanding guy he was to deal with.  I'll certainly miss his annual Christmas sale and vacation stories.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this terrible time of loss.

Very few people tried to support the Magna Community more than Dobie.. Hopefully he is riding with the angels today with no pain or cares..
Prayers for the family..

That's really sad news, but thanks for letting us know.

I could tell by Dobie's other posts that he wasn't doing well. But he was trying to get things delivered and shut things down for his wife. Considerate to the end.

My evening is going to be sad and quiet.

Dobie was the real deal, a True Gentleman.
I had the pleasure of riding with him a few times.
