front brake master cylinder

hello all,new to the board and not from texas but this is a great site and found alot of good info to help me with my 94 magna i just bought and love.

my question is my mirror hole on my front wheel master cylinder is crack'd in half,it was busted when it was take'n off the trailer upon delivery from the guy i bought it from when the mirror was smack'd on the trailer roll'n it out,i've look'd on the net but just cant find the part,does anyone know were i can find one online or if i can spot weld the stem onto it,the cylinder is fine just cant put the right side mirror on,any idea's ????

I would have a good aluminum welder weld it then grind and polish it so ya can't tell it had been damaged.  Then install a heli-coil to thread the mirror into.

does anyone know what other model's use the same part ???...it's $200 at the dealer by me and that's crazy just to mount a mirror

You might be able to find one at a bike salvage place.

Check with Mike Looby  (  skylooby@yahoo.com   )  He had a new one still in the box when I bought "Skippy" from him.  He may still have it.

i'm gonna give that a try tommaro just wish i knew what other model's used the same part...i have a line on one off a 2001 on ebay but it has 3 day's left and i'm sure it will take a week to get it after shipping and i need one now so i can get the bike inspected....my 10 day is up and the cop's around here will pull you over in a heartbeat without a inspection sticker
