Okay, It took me a little while to get to the rebuild but finally got it. I had a lot of trouble getting the snap ring out and then, after cleaning everything out and soaking the new rubber, I got it back together. The snap ring again a problem. I had to ream out the holes it it a little to get the ring pliers in it.
It says to make sure not to pull the lever all the way to the handle bar, which I, of course, did and more than once. I did buy a mityvac from Auto zone for $30 and hooked it up. I got no satisfaction, wouldn't suck any fluid. I am hoping that it is due to the above mentioned error. I am also hoping that all I have to do to make it right is take it apart, put it back together and hook up the vac.
Whats the deal? Please tell me I am right and don't need to buy parts again. I can't imagine that I would. So, even if I am wrong, tell me I am right before you correct me. Also, will the vac suck the fluid without the lever pulled? Thanks.
If the saying: To err is human, to forgive is devine, is true, then I have been overly human lately. I am not sure that I'll find enough divinity in me to forgive my self.
