Title: Interceptor rear swing arm mod?
Post by: John Luttrell on May 03, 2007, 04:12:51 PM
Anyone seen this one?  It looks real nice; but so far can't get much info on it.  The rear fender should have been trimmed to be more symetric with the wheel, but looks nice.

The single sided swingarm looks good on it.

First time I've heard of it.  That looks really sweet.
Title: Only on the Magna

I have seen it somewhere else before, and while I think it looks nice, the benefits of a single sided swing arm are not as noticeable as on other bikes.  As far as I know, the Magna is the only (or one of only a handful) of bikes with exhaust on both sides . . . not to mention two on each side.  For that reason the pipes cover up a where the swingarm would be anyway.  It does look nice, but might look a lot better if that wheel wasn't hiding behind the pipes.  However, I personally like the look of the quad exhaust, and would hate to sacrafice it.  Just my humble opinion.  dc

I think another benefit is that you could use sportbike tires which would have better grip and a wider selection of stickyness hmmmmmmmmmmmm pretty cool !!!!! taht would mean radials front and back !!

Also, rear disk brakes! :o  Not that the drum is all bad since the Magna is such a light bike, but I prefer the look of disks.

Nice mod.
