Title: Super Magna Wheels on a 94?
Post by: archiefl98 on May 17, 2007, 01:40:14 PM
Anyone know if the rear wheel off of the 87/88 Super Magna will fit on a 3rd generation?  I like the idea of the solid rear wheel.  Just wondering if anyone's ever tried it.  I'm not sure of the wheel sizes, and it looks like the tire sizes are the same (150/80 15)

I suppose there could also be a difference in the brake drum sizes, but again I don't have any info on them.

Thanks in advance!

Grr.   So that idea's out.  Anyone know of a place online where I could order up an aluminum disc wheel that would work?  I love the look of them, and I think it'd be a great addition.

Well if you were to purchase another 3rd gen wheel you might find a place that welds wheels and maybe they could weld a disc in there now mind you this would probably be mucho$$$$ Lol maybe you could adapt a fatboy rear wheel from a Hardly LoL might work but still alot of work!!!

Yeah, guess I need to look around a bit yet.  I'll keep my options open.  The stock wheels can't be the only option for this bike!  (Not that I don't like them, I just wanted to alter the appearance a little bit more.)

Quote from: archiefl98I like the idea of the solid rear wheel.

Have you tried Walmart?  I think they sell woks.  A couple of them and a tube of JB Weld and you are good to go.

I just checked on ebay, and here is a one that is up for auction:

The brand name is Magma, so you are pretty close right there.  And it comes with a lid, so that covers both sides.  Just remember to take off the handles, otherwise you are in for a bumpy ride.
