Title: front fork seals
Post by: Jerry G Turner on May 20, 2007, 07:19:59 PM
Ok I need to change the fork seals on my 86 magna how big of a job is it? Thanks in advance for your help. The one on the right side has started to leak.

IF all you  need is dust caps and seals, pull the fork tube remove dust cap and seal and re-install new ones.
However if you need to rebuild the sliders and bushings that is a bit more hehehe.

I think I am in need of the same thing. Where do you get the dust cap and seals?

I know how the dust seals come off but not sure how to get the frok seals out do they just pull out, and do you have to have them pressed back in? Thanks

They should simply slide in and out.

I would stick with OEM seals. Dealer or I like using zanottimotor.com cause my local dealer (40 miles) sucks.
