I've been wrenching a good chunk of the day on a Shadow and finished it. Moved on to the wifes 96 Magna. Started doing the install of the V&H exhaust system. Got the stock system off no prob, easy actually. Loosely installed the stock head pipes back on the front 2 cyl's as directed. Now it tells me to install the stock heat shields on the supplied new rear head pipes. OK, the new rear headpipes are a much larger OD than the ID of the heat shields. I need help from someone who has done these before. I'll be happy to swap phone #s via PM.
Side note - we have had this bike for only a couple of weeks but the wife has gotten quite fond of it. We went riding Friday and she had no trouble keeping up with my V65 Magna. These new lil Maggies got some yarbles.
Never mind for now. Way down in the bottom of the box in the peanuts were 2 heat shields. I think I may have this whooped. Long day.
