Title: Center Stand Options
Post by: jp2magna on May 21, 2007, 12:33:28 PM
I've got a 2002 Magna that I'd like to mount a center stand to.

Will one of the old Magna stands work? I do not currently have an old stand, but I could get something like this on eBay. I'd just like to know if an old stand could work on a newer Magna.

Is there anything to bolt to, or would I have to weld something in place?

I'd love to support our sponsors, but that's $200. I can get one from an older generation Magna for about $20 on eBay. KnoWhatIMean?

As a welder myself, I know what ya mean. I have a hard time buying what I can build. But since I retired I've gotten lazy. Instead of modifing a first gen center stand the hard way I'm waiting until I can see an after market stand up close, so I don't have to spend so much time crawling around the bike measuring and fitting. I'll just copy what someone else has already designed. There was a time when I would have insisted on doing it all myself but ,like I said I've gotten lazy :)
