I'm buying a 1992 kawasaki XII Voyager for two up touring; the bike is super clean except for the windshield is glazed. I will probably just replace it unless one of you guys can tell me it can be reconditioned easily. The bike has 40k miles on it and is in very good condition, good paint, no scrapes or dings anywhere and it has been garage kept; it is loaded with all the extras, cb, radio, intercom, and electronic cruise control. I went over it with a fine toothed comb and found no leaks or maintenance issues and it rides out real nicely. The magna will still be my ride of choice for one up touring, but the wife is needing a little more pampering on long trips than the magna can offer.
Except for being a little on the heavy side those bikes are supposed to be fantastic touring bikes. Congrats John!!!
Meguiars makes a plastic polish that I have used on my helmet and on a windsheild it worked really well removing scratches not sure about a glaze but it might be worth a try a lot less expensive than a new windsheild.
