So I bought some drag bars (only 12.00) and changed them over. I thought that since the bars were shorter in height there wouldn't be any issues.
Boy that's what I get for trying to sound intelligent!
The clutch is too tight and hitting the left platform (triple trees I guess) and the break line is hitting the same location just on the other side. The throttle is tough to rotate and won't snap back into place.
I think the line has too many turns in it.
There's just no room for anything up there.
So here's my plan. I want to buy some Ape hangers for it and then buy cables to accomodate the new length. If I take the measurement of the stock height of the Magna handlebars and then subtract that from the height of the ape-hangers that should give me the amount of extra cable I need for all of the set-ups wouldn't it?
If this logic is wrong let me know. But I'd like to order the stuff pretty quick.
Thanks,
Brandon

Sounds like you did the math but I could not imagine putting ape-hangers on a great handling bike like the Magna. I guess it will be unique.
I don't think you are in the Dallas area but here are some ape hangers bars. I don't know if they will work or if a good price but here are some on Dallas Graigs list. http://dallas.craigslist.org/mcy/362557832.html

So just doing the math I got is the right idea? I have been hearing that I need to get the bars in and then take some type of wire and lay it out like I am going to have everything set up and then measure the length of the wire.
I just feel like it will work how I'm thinking but maybe not.
