Title: Magna Carb Question - Overflow lines or Vents?
Post by: hairfarmer on August 18, 2005, 07:03:24 PM
Question,

When one of my carb floats became stuck on my 97 Magna, the carb started leaking from the upper side.

Which part of the carb is leaking the fuel. Are there overflow or vents built in to the carb in the case of stuck float.

I'm trying to indentify the exact location on the carb that the gas is leaking from.

What is the name of it? Is it called an overflow line or a fuel vent?

This is driving me crazy. Its not even in my Honda manual.

thanks,

I think there is an overflow in the bottom of the carb and vents in the top but gas should not be getting there thats to allow the diaphram to flex but I would say if your float is sticking I would be tearing them down to clean and fix it nothing like running and then not running in the middle of nowhere
