Title: Mystery Hose
Post by: DaWood on June 25, 2005, 01:14:03 PM
Can anybody give me an idea what the hose in the attached pic might be.   The hose appears to run up to the engine, but I do not see where it goes.  If I look between the engine and the tools\owners manual cover I can see that the hose has a tee in it that goes no where.  This is not the coolant overflow hose.  Its a '97 Magna.

Thanks

Could it be the battery vent hose?

Another couple of "guesses":  Could be either a fuel tank vent hose or intake breather box drain hose.  If it is the latter, and is like my Valk there is a rubber plug in the end that you pull periodically to let the goo drain out.

Curtis you are correct, it is intake airbox drain.

So its nothing for me to worry about?  It just seems odd for it to be hanging so low.

Make sure it is inserted through the thin metal loop on your frame that is located by the kick stand.  If it is out, that may be why it's hanging so low.  I have two hoses in that loop.
